A challenging career as a financial specialist

It is essential that our clients can rely on us, and that we can rely on our specialists. It is not surprising then that you, as a financial specialist, will work on varied assignments that pose just that little bit more of a challenge; assignments that provide ample opportunity for growth.

Prestigious companies and diversity
If you choose Brunel, you are opting for interesting projects with prestigious companies. We count nearly every financial services provider in the Netherlands among our clients. We also work with many other large organisations that require good financial specialists. With Brunel, the projects you work on are as diverse as the companies you work for.

Career plan
Your career development is our top priority. That is why Brunel has set up the Finance Career Club for its financial specialists. Within the Career Club you collaborate with your Account Manager and our HR department on creating a career plan. Important elements of which, apart from your wishes and ambitions, are the meetings mentioned below, training and appraisals.

Introduction programme
In the first two months of your employment with Brunel, you will follow the Introduction Programme. During this time you will get to know our organisation better and get to know colleagues who joined Brunel around the same time. This programme also allows time for relaxation and socialising; you might go sailing or participate in a sushi-making workshop, for example. During the Introduction Programme you will follow two personal-development courses, namely ‘Personal Communication’ and ‘Effective Communication’.

Deepening and broadening
If you have the right basic professional qualifications you will be eligible for the Deepening Programme. This is a three-pronged training programme which covers general skills development, competency-focused development, and professional broadening or specialisation. You could, for example, follow a post-doctoral Register Controller course. In addition, we regularly organise current-events evenings and knowledge sessions. By doing this we contribute to the on-going development of our employees.

Evaluation structure
Brunel has a set evaluation structure for all its seconded specialists. Throughout the year you will have appraisal meetings with your Account Manager, and a similar annual meeting with the HR Manager. This enables us to keep abreast of each other’s wishes and ideas.
